It is my goal to become involved with a progressive company whose emphasis is on team work and quality output. My main interest lies in the development of Webpage designs, 3-D graphic creation, and/or animation software; however, I am also interested in graphic photo manipulation and am open to the possiblility of network management at a later date. As technology expands I plan to grow with it and build on the foundation of skills I have developed thus far. I am confident that I can adapt to any work environment and I will be able to work either independantly or with a team. I spend a great deal of time communicating and providing help for other computer users so I know this will benefit me in the work force. I am very interested in securing a position in three-dimensional graphic design or web-based multimedia. I hope to achieve a position somewhere in British Columbia where I could utilize and further develop my analytical problem solving skills and attention to detail.

I am a graduate from a two year Fine Arts and Graphic Design Program. My experience with computers started in high school when I took a course in Data Processing. Since then, I have been introduced to many aspects of computing and am currently enrolling in the Computer System Operations & Management (CSOM) Program at UCC. I am constantly exploring new programs and I enjoy learning new concepts. In grade 12, I became interested in web design so I spent the summer teaching myself HTML and building a site entirely from code. Once I felt that I understood the principles, I started teaching HTML to someone in Kamloops who needed a website for her business. I've also experimented with and taught myself how to use photo manipulation and page layout software.
My interest in graphics eventually led to the enrollment in the DAAD program following a prerequisite year of Fine Arts. The DAAD program has given me a broad range of avenues to explore and has helped me refine my skills so I can be more productive in the work force. I have been exposed to page layout programs with a strong typographic emphasis. This is one component in the print based preparation we do in DAAD. I have also been working with Adobe Photoshop to edit pictures for print and the web, and have been introduced to vector graphics. Vectors are somewhat new to me, but I find that this type of design is easy to learn and I enjoy trying something new.
